Head Coach George Roberts and the Pitt-Johnstown baseball team will close out their four-game PSAC Western Division series against Lock Haven, with a pair of games, Friday afternoon at Point Stadium. Game times are 1 and 3:30 p.m.
The Mountain Cats were 15-25 and 5-15 in conference-play prior to Thursday's series-opening games at Lock Haven. After dropping 3-of-4 PSAC games to Gannon last weekend, Pitt-Johnstown bounced back with an 11-6 non-conference win over Shippensburg on Tuesday.
Jared Dowey drove in three, while
Brody Roberts had three hits and an RBI, and
Lucas Muffie went 2-for-4 with two RBI in the win over the Red Raiders.
Lock Haven, under
Head Coach Heath Smoke Stover, was 6-33 overall and 2-17 in the PSAC West before yesterday's games. The Bald Eagles got a 5-4 win over Slippery Rock to salvage one win in last weekend's conference series against Slippery Rock before falling, 11-10, to Bloomsburg in a non-conference game on Tuesday.
Nick Negola had two hits, including a homer and three RBI, and
Cayden Robertson added a home run and drove in two against the Huskies.
Since the 2005 season, the Mountain Cats hold a 9-6 advantage in the series. In last season's meeting, Lock Haven won the conference series 3-games-to 1. After
Erik Rhodes bases loaded walk gave the Mountain Cats a 5-4 walk-off of on April 18 in Johnstown, the Bald Eagles came back with 12-2, 5-4, and 5-2 victories.
Pitt-Johnstown will close out its 2026 regular season with a four-game PSAC West series against Indiana (PA). The Mountain Cats will host a doubleheader and celebrate Senior Day against the Crimson Hawks on Thursday at 1 p.m. at Point Stadium, then conclude the series in Indiana on Friday.
