Isaac Greeley

        Isaac Greeley, a member of both of Pitt-Johnstown's National Championship wrestling teams, etched his named in the Mountain Cat record books as a two-time NCAA Division II All-American that included a third-place finish on Pitt-Johnstown's 1999 title team, a three-time NCAA East Regional Champion, and a two-time National Wrestling Coaches (NWCA) All-Academic Wrestling Team selection.
        A four-time PIAA State Qualifier and a two-time Pennsylvania State place-winner at Port Allegany High School, Mr. Greeley joined Head Coach Pat Pecora's Pitt-Johnstown squad prior to the 1994-95 season.
        After red-shirting as a freshman, Mr. Greeley, a native of Roulette, Pa., began his collegiate career with a 12-3 record and third-place finishes at the West Liberty (WV) College and Slippery Rock University Opens in 1995-96.  That year, he joined the celebration as Pitt-Johnstown claimed the program's first NCAA National Championship at Northern Colorado University.
        With a solid year on the mat under his belt, Mr. Greeley's career took off in 1996-97 as he helped the Mountain Cats to a fifth-place national finish.  He posted an impressive 24-6 record at 134 lbs., won his first of three NCAA Regional Championships, and earned his first spot in the NCAA National Tournament and he defeated the defending National Champion.
        The following season, Mr. Greeley went 42-7, won his second regional title, and once again defeated the defending National Champion to become a national runner-up and guide Pitt-Johnstown to third-place national finish.
        Mr. Greeley's 42 overall victories, 34 regular season wins, and eight regular season falls in 1997-98 all broke Pitt-Johnstown single-season records at 134 lbs.
        In 1998-99, Mr. Greeley and the Mountain Cats reached the top of the wrestling world when Pitt-Johnstown claimed its second NCAA National Championship in three years.  For the third consecutive year. Mr. Greeley, who moved up to 149 lbs., was a huge part in the team's success.  He won his third consecutive regional title, for a third year defeated the defending National Champion and was named First-Team NWCA All-Academic Wrestling Team for the second straight year, and placed third at the National Tournament as Pitt-Johnstown claimed it second team title.
        Mr. Greeley closed out his Pitt-Johnstown career ranked 11th on the Mountain Cat All-time Wins List with a 106-23 overall record and 11th on the All-Time Win Percentage List at .822.  He currently ranks 19th on the All-Time Wins List and 16th on the Win Percentage List.
        In 1999, Mr. Greeley earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Pitt-Johnstown and enrolled at New York Chiropractic College where he graduated with honors with his Doctorate in Chiropractic in 2002.  He joined The Rehab Centre as a partner in 2004 with Dr. Ralph Petrarca and Dr. Jason Jacobs, and helped expand the company to six locations in the Greater Pittsburgh Area.
        Mr. Greeley is also the founder The Mat Factory W.C. in Lower Burrell, Pa., a facility that offers wrestling, Brazilain Jiu Jitsu and MMA programs.  He is the Co-Founder of the Bruno Iorfido Wrestling Camp with Sean Lathrop in his hometown of Port Allegany, and a member of the Pitt-Johnstown Wrestling Golf Outing committee.
        For the past 15 years, Mr. Greeley has served as an assistant wrestling coach at Burrell High School and helped produced a pair of PIAA Team Championships and 13 WPIAL Team Championships (12 straight currently) coaching alongside fellow UPJ alumni and PIAA HOF coach Chis Como.
        Mr. Greeley, who has also been inducted into the Pennsylvania Junior Wrestling and District 9 Wrestling Halls of Fame, and his wife Laura, currently reside in New Kensington with their 9-year-old daughter, Seneca.
       
"I am truly honored to be recognized by the Pitt-Johnstown Athletics Hall of Fame Committee," Mr. Greeley said.  "My short time as a Pitt-Johnstown student-athlete gave me the foundation to become successful in all facets of life and for that, I am forever grateful."
