Women's Soccer Scores 4-0 Win At Ohio Valley

Four different Lady Cats scored and Alicia Zack (Irwin, Pa.) tallied a pair of assists to lead the Pitt-Johnstown women's soccer team to a 4-0 victory at Ohio Valley (WV) University, Friday afternoon. The Lady Cats snapped a six match losing skid and improved to 3-8-0 overall and 2-3-0 in the WVIAC.
Lauren Penn (Plum, Pa.) got Pitt-Johnstown on the scoreboard when she found the upper right corner of the net off of Zack's first assist in the 30th minute of play. The Lady Cats made it 2-0 at halftime when Alissa Falcone (Murrysville, Pa.) took's Zack's second assist and put in in the lower left corner to beat Ohio Valley goalkeeper Abbi Menear at the 39-minute mark.
Pitt-Johnstown increased the lead to 3-0 in the 50th minute on Lindsay Plowman's (Kiski, Pa.) rebound goal, before the Lady Cats set the final score at 4-0 when Kristin Kelly (Bethel Park, Pa.) took a rebound over Menear's head into the back of the net.
Lady Cat goalkeeper Stephanie Paha (Slickville, Pa.) didn't face a shot and earned her second shutout of the season. Paha improved to 3-6-0. Menear suffered the loss after facing 27 Pitt-Johnstown shots and making seven saves.
With the loss, Ohio Valley slipped to 1-11-0 overall and 1-3-0 in conference play.
The Lady Cats travel to Concord (WV) University on Sunday, before returning home to host WVIAC rival Seton Hill University on Thursday at 4:00 p.m.
