Kayla DeCriscio scored 18 points and hit four of her six 3-pointers in the first half to help the Lady Cats build a 16-point halftime advantage on their way to an 85-65 non-conference victory at Salem International (WV) University on Tuesday. Pitt-Johnstown extended its winning streak to four games and improved to 4-1.

Three straight 3-pointers from DeCriscio, who was 4-of-4 in the first half and 6-of-7 for the game from long range, pushed it out to 34-19 at the nine-minute mark, before
Olivia McCabe gave the Lady Cats a 20-point lead with a basket in the paint three minutes later.

Salem International cut the deficit to 14 on Samantha Aikens' lay-up with 2:39 left in the half, but
Jamie Tabon scored with 20 seconds remaining to give Pitt-Johnstown a 51-35 halftime lead.

The Tigers tried to get back in it and got to within 13 at 60-47 on six consecutive points from Shakinah Haggins, but the Lady Cats used a 17-6 run, capped by two
Kelsey Sleighter free-throws, to build the lead to 77-53 with 5:53 to play.

Pitt-Johnstown never let Salem International get closer than 19 the rest of the way and cruised to the 20-point win.

DeCriscio led three Lady Cats who scored in double figures with 18 points, all from behind the 3-point line.Â
Leah Hansen had 11 points seven rebounds, and a game-high nine assists, while Sleighter finished with 10 points and six assists.Â
Dominique Smith and Harper each scored nine points and
Agnese Aramina chipped-in eight points and six rebounds.

Nicole Carman scored seven points and is now 26 points shy of becoming Pitt-Johnstown's 34
th 1,000-point scorer. In addition, her 538 rebounds currently rank 22
nd on the Lady Cat All-time Rebounding List.

Pitt-Johnstown, who held a 40-30 advantage on the boards, shot 49.2% (32-65) from the field, including 12-27 from 3-point range. The Tigers were held to 43.6% (24-55) shooting from the floor and 1-4 from behind the 3-point line.

Haggins scored a game-high 20 points and pulled down eight rebounds, and Aikens added 16 points for Salem International, which dropped to 0-6 on the year.

The Lady Cats continue a stretch of four consecutive road games with a non-conference game at Urbana (OH) University on Monday. Pitt-Johnstown will return home on December 6 to host a PSAC doubleheader with the Mountain Cats against Seton Hill. The Lady Cats will tip-off at 1 p.m. in the Sports Center, with the men's game to follow at 3 p.m.Â
