Head Coach Pat Pecora's 19^th-ranked wrestlers extended their winning streak to 10 consecutive matches after a 33-14 victory over Ohio Valley (WV) University and a narrow 21-19 win over Tiffin (OH) University, Saturday afternoon in the Sports Center.  Pitt-Johnstown is now 11-1 on the year.
 
With a pair forfeits at 125 and 133 lbs. to start, followed by a 16-0 technical fall at 5:18 by sixth-ranked Sam Hanau, Pitt-Johnstown opened-up a 17-0 lead over Ohio Valley and cruised to the 33-14 win.
 
The Fighting Scots cut it to 17-6 with decision wins at 149 and 157 lbs., but the Mountain Cats answered when seventh-ranked Tyler Reinhart (165 lbs.) both won by forfeit, and John Blankenship earned a 9-1 major decision over Austin Antill at 174 lbs. to rebuild the lead to 27-6.
 
Back-to-back major decision victories by Ohio Valley made it 27-14, but it was too late.  D.J. Sims closed it out for Pitt-Johnstown with a forfeit win at 285 lbs.
 
It was a similar start for Pitt-Johnstown against Tiffin.  This time, the Mountain Cats ran out to a commanding 183 lead midway through the match, before holding off a fierce comeback effort by the Dragons.
 
Evan Link's 15-5 major decision over Giuseppe Pensone at 125 and a Nate Russo Forfeit victory at 133 lbs. made it 10-0, before Mike Screptock held off Corey Bush, 7-6, at 141 lbs. to get Tiffin on the scoreboard.
 
Pitt-Johnstown came right back with another technical fall from Hanau and a 12-5 decision by Kevin Synan at 157 lbs. to build the lead to 15.
 
The Dragons stormed back to win four of the final five bouts.  Decisions by Chase Boyd (165 lbs.) and Chris Baker (184 lbs.), sandwiched around a 2-0 win by Blankenship got Tiffin to within 12 with two matches remaining.
 
The Dragons needed two falls to complete the comeback.  However, Forest Tuttle battled Jake Cramer at 197 lbs., before falling 15-3.  The second-ranked Garrett Gray pinned Sims at 3:43 to set the final at 21-19.
 
In Saturday's other match, Tiffin defeated Ohio Valley, 42-3.
 
Tiffin is now 6-7, while Ohio Valley dropped to 3-12.
 
Pitt-Johnstown will celebrate Senior Night against Shippensburg on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Sports Center, before closing out the 2014-15 regular season at Mercyhurst University on Saturday.
