After sweeping Pitt-Johnstown at Point Stadium on Saturday, 13
th-ranked Seton Hill defeated Pitt-Johnstown 7-1 and 12-1 to complete a four-game PSAC Western Division sweep over the Mountain Cats, Sunday afternoon in Greensburg. Pitt-Johnstown fell to 2-20 overall and 2-6 in the PSAC West.

In the opener, Seton Hill scored four runs in the third inning to break open a two-run game on its way to the 7-1 victory.

Zac Heide's RBI single, followed two hitters latter by a Taylor Schmidt run-producing double gave Seton Hill a 2-0 lead after two innings.

The Griffins added four more runs in their half of the third, highlighted by Nick Sell's two-run homer to increase the lead to 6-0, before the Mountain Cats got on the scoreboard on
Sam Barbera's single up the middle that plate
Jake Stern from third in the fifth.

Seton Hill tacked on an unearned run in its next at-bat to set the final at 7-1.

Barbera went 2-for-3 with and RBI, while
Ernesto Rizzitano,
Mike Palkovitz,
Nate Negri,
Nico Pecora, and Stern accounted for the other Mountain Cat hits.

Ryan Socol pitched the first five innings and allowed all seven run (5 earned) on eight hits to fall to 1-4.Â
Ryan Bills tossed a scoreless inning in relief for Pitt-Johnstown.

In game two, the Griffins built a 4-0 lead after three innings, before adding five more in the fourth on their way to the 12-1 win.

The Griffins opened-up a 2-0 lead with single runs in each of the first two innings, then pushed it out to 4-0 on Chris Miller's two-run homer to center in the Griffins' third inning.

Seton Hill pushed across five more runs in the fourth inning to make it 9-0. Pitt-Johnstown got a sacrifice fly from Stern in the sixth, but it wasn't enough.

Andrew Keirn took the loss on the mound for Pitt-Johnstown and slipped to 0-1. Keirn surrendered eight runs (7 earned) on nine hits over the first three innings.

Negri went 2-for-3 with a double, and Stern added a base hit and an RBI for Pitt-Johnstown.

With the sweep, Seton Hill improved to 19-4 overall and 7-1 in the PSAC West.

The Mountain Cats will host a non-conference, 9-inning game against Bloomsburg on Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Point Stadium, before hosting a four-game PSAC series against Clarion over the weekend at Point Stadium.Â
