Slippery Rock took advantage of six homeruns and broke open a 6-3 game in the sixth inning to earn a 16-3 win in Saturday's PSAC West Senior Day opener at Point Stadium. In game two, The Rock scored four runs in the seventh to complete the sweep with a 12-11 win. Pitt-Johnstown's season ended with a 7-37-1 overall record and a 7-20-1 mark in the PSAC West.

In game one, back-to-back homeruns to lead off the Slippery Rock third inning by Adam Urbania and Alex Bell made it 2-0, before Jordan Faretta connected for a two-run shot over the left field screen two batters later.
The Rock added two more in the fifth on Tyler Walters' solo homer to left center and Faretta's RBI single, before Pitt-Johnstown cut the deficit in half in the bottom of the frame.
Nate Negri's single through the left side scored
Lino Bravo from second, and
Luke Williams followed with a two-out, two-run base hit up the middle.
Slippery Rock made it 7-3 with a run in the sixth, and tacked on nine more in the seventh, including a pair of three-run homers by Jake Nogalo and Logan Brown.
Dillon Boyer went 2-for-4 with an RBI, while Williams had a hit and drove in a pair of the Mountain Cats.
Jake Stern added a double for Pitt-Johnstown.
Nate Pope took the loss after allowing all 13 runs on 16 Slippery Rock hits. Pope also walked one and struck out four in his final game as a Mountain Cat.
Logan Fluke got the final two outs but allowed Brown's three-run homer.
In game two, Pitt-Johnstown struck for three runs in the second. After
Jake Stern drew a bases loaded walk,
Nico Pecora's sacrifice fly to center plated Palkovitz, and Bravo lined an RBI single up the middle.
Preston Falascino's opposite field three-run homer in the Slippery Rock third inning knotted it at three, but the Mountain Cats scored two more in the bottom of the third to go back in front, 5-3.
The Rock cut it to one on Ty Zimmerman's solo homer that sliced around the right field foul pole. Then, in The Rock's fifth, Carson Kessler cleared the bases with a two-out double to put Slippery Rock back in front, 7-5.
It continued to see-saw back-and-forth. The Mountain Cats answered with four more in their half of the fifth. Another run for The Rock made it 9-8, but Williams added an RBI triple and stern had a sacrifice fly in the Pitt-Johnstown sixth to push it out to 11-8.
However, The Rock scored four in the seventh to secure the 12-11 win.
Williams was 4-for-4 with a triple and an RBI, while Palkovitz and Rizzitano each had two hits for the Mountain Cats. Stern drove in three runs, and Pecora had two RBI.
Ryan Bills took the loss in relief of starter
Ryan Socol after allowing four runs on three hits in the Slippery Rock seventh inning. Socol pitched the first five innings and gave up seven runs on five hits in the no-decision.
With the sweep, Slippery Rock improved to 29-16 overall and 18-10 in the PSAC West.
