Mike Drahos and the Pitt-Johnstown women's basketball team will put its four-game winning streak on the line with a non-conference game against Salem (WV) University, Wednesday evening in the Sports Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.
Pitt-Johnstown comes in at 6-1 after sweeping a pair of games to open PSAC-play on Nov. 23 and 24. On November 23,
Gabrielle Smith scored 20 points to lead the Mountain Cats to a 59-53 win over East Stroudsburg, before adding 21 more points in a 79-64 victory over Kutztown on Nov. 24.Â
Olivia Fasick (15 points),
Lindsay Shuke (11 points),
Maddie Shanahan (10 points), and
Ashley Norling (10 points) also scored in double figures for Pitt-Johnstown.
Smith enters tonight's game ranked 20

th on the all-time rebounding list with 487 rebounds.

Head Coach Cody Gilmore's Salem Tigers slipped to 1-5 following a 65-54 home loss to 15
th-ranked Indiana (PA) last Wednesday.Â

Nia Bishop led the Tigers with 22 and 13 points, respectively.
Nationally for Salem, Bishop is 31

Pitt-Johnstown and Salem met last season on December 5 in Salem, W.Va. and the Tigers came away with an 86-69 victory behind Bishop's 20 points and
Endia Jones' 16 points and 10 rebounds. The Mountain Cats were led by Smith's game-high 25 points and seven rebounds,
Alli McGrath's 20 points and nine rebounds, and Shanahan's 15 points and game-high 11 rebounds.
Pitt-Johnstown will play four consecutive PSAC road games beginning at Bloomsburg on Saturday, before opening the Spring Semester in the Sports Center with a conference doubleheader with the men's team against Gannon on January 6 at 5 :30 p.m.
