The 13^th-ranked Pitt-Johnstown wrestlers took advantage of bonus points in five matches, including falls from Gage Arnold (184 lbs.) and Dakoda Rodgers (197 lbs.), to improve to 7-0 with a, 43-0, non-conference victory at Fairmont State (WV) University, Friday night.
 
Pitt-Johnstown started fast and never looked back.  Matt Siszka won by forfeit at 125 lbs. to open the match, before Mason Myers secured 4-0 decision over Levi Smith at 133 lbs.
 
Caleb Morris then dealt Digger Dennison an 18-0 tech fall loss at 4:43 at 141 lbs. to give the Mountain Cats a quick 14-0 advantage.
 
Following a double forfeit in the 149-lb. bout, Pitt-Johnstown picked-up its second tech fall win of the night when 11^th-ranked Nate Smith defeated Alex Jablonski, 15-0 at 4:31 at 157 lbs.
 
At 165 lbs., No. 8-ranked Dillon Keane built a 4-0 lead and got a point for riding time in a 5-0 win over Cade Moisey, and third-ranked Brock Biddle won by forfeit at 174 lbs. to increase the Mountain Cat lead to 28-0.
 
Arnold pinned Riley Gallagher at 4:20 of the 184-lb. bout, and Rodgers pinned Jaxson Turner at 2:15 at 197 lbs. before Pitt-Johnstown closed out the lopsided win when Oggie Atwood used a six-point third period to win a 7-1 decision over TJ Boyd at 285 lbs.
 
With the loss, Fairmont State fell to 0-7 on the year.
 
Pitt-Johnstown returns home to celebrate Alumni Day with a Quad Match in the Sports Center with King (TN), Seton Hill, and Shippensburg on Sunday.  Each team will wrestle three matches and wrestling is scheduled to take place on two mats beginning at 11 a.m., with an approximate 10-15 minute break between dual meets.
 
PITT-JOHNSTOWN SCHEDULE NOTE:  Pitt-Johnstown was originally supposed to wrestle King on Jan. 23, but after the Mountain Cats' PSAC match against Seton Hill was postponed on January 14, it was changed to a tri-match.  Then, earlier this week, Pitt-Johnstown's PSAC match against Shippensburg was moved from February 2 to January 23 in the Sports Center to make Sunday a Quad Match.  Pitt-Johnstown and Shippensburg will not wrestle on February 2.
