Mountain Cats Succeed at Ed Winrow Memorial

The University of Pittsburgh-Johnstown Men's Cross Country Team finished seventh out of nine teams in the 2022 Ed Winrow Memorial Invitational at Mansfield University. The team had an average time of 28:39.2 and earned a total of 198 points. Shippensburg took home the team win with 24 points. Caleb Mandel of Gannon University earn the first-place individual finish with a time of 25:49.9.
 
Luke Cimakasky was the first Mountain Cat to cross the finish line. He earned a 27th place finish with his time of 26:44.5.  Noah Lee earned a 54th finish with his time of 28:40.1. Ben Brassart crossed the finish line just behind Lee at 28:40.8. This was good enough to take 55th at this event. 
 
Other UPJ finishers include Helaman Forsyth (29:09.1), Anthony Scott (30:01.4), Brandt Patterson (30:18.7), and Joel Weber (31:56.0)
 
The Mountain Cats will travel to Lock Haven, Pa. on October 22nd to take place in the 2022 Go Fast River Run. After that, the team will take place in the 2022 PSAC Cross Country Championships on November 5th in Mansfield, Pa.
