The 2022 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships will take place this Saturday, November 5th. With this meet just days away, the University of Pittsburgh-Johnstown would like to wish all athletes competing this weekend the best of luck.Â
The Pitt-Johnstown men's team is led by two returning captains, junior, Luke Cimakasky, and senior, Michael Hanik. Cimakasky, who also succeeds on the track (finishing 11th in the 1500 meter run at last year PSAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships) will look to lead all Mountain Cat runners. He ran a 26:14 at the Lehigh University Paul Short Run. Though the Mountain Cats have well-founded veteran leadership, they also have a variety of young depth. Four of Pitt-Johnstown's top seven runners are underclassmen. This young core consists of freshmen Ben Brassart and Tristan Landsberg and sophomores Helaman Forsyth and Noah Lee.Â

The Mountain Cats will look to improve on last year's 14th place finish at Saturday's meet. The meet will take place in Mansfield, Pa. at Lamb's Creek Cross Country Course. The Men's Race will start promptly at 11:30AM and awards will be presented at 2:00PM.Â
