
The University of Pittsburgh-Johnstown Men's Cross Country Team earned a seventh place finish in their first meet of the season on Saturday. The Mountain Cats kicked off their season with an average time of 28:55.98, earning 177 points. Conference foes, Indiana University of Pennsylvania took home the overall win with an average time of 27:09.69 (59 points).
Luke Cimaksky was the leader for UPJ coming in 27th overall with a time of 28:15.06.
Tristan Landsberg was the next to cross the finish line for UPJ. He finished 33
rd with a time of 28:25.56.
Ben Brassart rounded out the top three Mountain Cat finishers on the day with his time of 28:41.43. This time earned Brassart a 36
th place finish.
Other Pitt-Johnstown finishers included

Michael Hanik (30:18.16), and
Joel Weber (32:14.60).
The Mountain Cats will travel to Bethlehem, Pa. on September 30th to take place in the Lehigh University Paul Short Run. After that, the team will take place in the Mansfield University Ed Winrow Memorial Invitational on October 8th.
