Isaiah Vance (285 lbs.) reached the quarterfinals to lead a group of seven Pitt-Johnstown wrestlers who will advance to Sunday's action of the 45th Midwest Classic in Indianapolis, IN. The Mountain Cats finished the opening day of the tournament in fourth-place in the 43-team field with 45.5 points.
Central Oklahoma (51.5 points) leads the field, while Wisconsin-Parkside (49.5 points), McKendree (ILL) (46.0 points), Pitt-Johnstown, and Colorado Mesa (44.5 points) round out the top five.

Tyson Cook (133 l bs.), No. 18
Mason Myers (141 lbs.),
Cooper Warshel (157 lbs.), and
Gavyn Beck (165 lbs.) all suffered losses, but remained alive in the tournament win wins in consolation rounds.
Sunday's wrestling is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. and continue throughout the day.
