Coach Aideen O'Donoghue and the Pitt-Johnstown women's soccer team will kick-off PSAC West-play against Slippery Rock, Wednesday afternoon at Richland High School. Kick-off is set for 1 p.m.
The Mountain Cats come in at 2-0-0 after opening the season with a 1-0 win at Davis & Elkins (WV) on Thursday, and a 2-0 victory over West Liberty (WV) in Sunday's home-opener.
Sophia Lamesta had a goal and an assist, and
Haley Neidig added a goal in the victory over the Hilltoppers.
Tenth-year
Coach Jessica Giegucz's Slippery Rock squad will also open conference-play following a 1-1 draw at Shepherd (WV) on Friday and a 2-0 loss at East Stroudsburg on Sunday.
Sydney Patrick accounted for the Rock's goal against Shepherd.
Last season, the Rock earned a 5-0 victory in Slippery Rock on Sept., 6, before completing the season sweep with a 4-1 victory at the Pitt-Johnstown Soccer Field on Oct. 11.
Lydia Roman accounted for the Mountain Cats' goal.
Pitt-Johnstown visits Gannon for a PSAC match on Saturday, before hosting a conference match against Indiana (PA) next Wednesday at 1:30 p.m.
