The Pitt-Johnstown women's soccer team will play host to California (PA) for a PSAC Western Division match, Wednesday afternoon at 1 p.m. at Richland High School.

Pitt-Johnstown, under first-year Head Coach Aideen O'Donoghue, is 2-2-2 overall and 0-2-2 in the conference-play following back-to-back scoreless draws.  PSAC West Defensive Athlete of the Week Emma Morin combined to make 14 saves to preserve conference draws with Indiana (PA) last Wednesday and Seton Hill on Saturday.

Seventh-year Head Coach Colin Petersen and the California (PA) Vulcans are 3-2-1 overall and 2-1-0 in the PSAC West.  The Vulcans bounced back from a tight, 2-1, loss to Seton Hill last Wednesday with a 3-0 PSAC win over Clarion on Saturday.

Since first meeting in 2008, Pitt-Johnstown holds a slim, 7-6-2, advantage in the series.  Last season, the Mountain Cats took a pair of games from the Vulcans.  Pitt-Johnstown earned a 2-1 win in California on Sept. 20, before securing a 2-0 win in Johnstown behind two goals from Haley Neidig.

The Mountain Cats travel to PSAC West matches at Edinboro on Saturday and Clarion next Wednesday, before hosting a conference match against nationally-ranked Gannon on Oct. 12 at noon at Richland High School.
