Twelve Pitt-Johnstown wrestlers placed in the top-five, including
Chad Ozias (141 lbs.) and
Matt Sarbo (149 lbs.), who both won championships, and Ty Morison and
Trent Hoover took a no-contest to share first-place at 174 lbs. at Sunday's season-opening East Stroudsburg Open.

At 141 lbs., top-seeded Ozias, a 2025 NCAA national qualifier, dealt Bridgeport's Jaiden Hernandez a 24-8 technical fall loss at 7:00 to claim his title, while Sarbo, seeded first, picked up a 17-2 technical fall at 5:00 minute over American's Leo Maestas to win the championship at 149 lbs.


Third-seeded
Ty Morrison reached the title bout at 174 lbs. with an 11-1 major decision over American's Hunter Hohman, and Hoover won by technical fall, 19-2 at 3:58 over Felician's John Steele in his semifinal bout at 174 lbs.

Kobi Burkett at 141 lbs., while
Chad Jesko and
Julien Smith both forfeit the fifth-place match at 165 lbs.

Pitt-Johnstown will put its No. 3 national ranking on the line in the 2025-26 dual meet opener at No. 19 West Liberty (WV) on Thursday, before hosting No. 16 Ashland (OH) in its home debut on Nov. 21 at 7 p.m. in the Sports Center.
