Men's Basketball to Celebrate Senior Day Prior to Saturday's Home Finale Against Gannon

The Pitt-Johnstown men's basketball team will close out the 2024-25 regular season home schedule and celebrate Senior Day with a PSAC Western Division doubleheader with the women's team against Gannon, Saturday afternoon in the Sports Center. The women will tip off at 1 p.m. with the men's game to follow at 3 p.m.
    
            Head Coach Bob Rukavina and the Pitt-Johnstown Mountain Cat men's basketball program will recognize seniors Tyler Bilinsky, Sean Dillon, Elijah Sechler, and Ryan Smith prior to Saturday's tip-off against Gannon.

       Pitt-Johnstown comes into the game at 11-14 overall and 7-11 in the PSAC after a, 91-79, setback at California (PA) on Wednesday.  Jay Rose poured on a game-high 27 points off the bench, while Baden Forup had 11 points and a game-high eight rebounds to pace Pitt-Johnstown.  The Mountain Cats also got 10 points from Adam Bilinsky, eight points from Vinnie Cugini, and seven points and seven rebounds from Will Kromka.

     Smith enters the game ranked 20th on the Pitt-Johnstown Scoring List with 1,237 points, one point shy of tying Mike Gresik (1081-1985) for 19th-place.  Dillon comes in with 1,016 career points.

     First-year Head Coach Easton Bazzoli's Gannon Golden Knights are 20-6 overall and sit atop the PSAC Western Division at 15-3.  The Golden Knights, winners of four straight games, are coming off a, 78-65, victory at Clarion last Saturday.  Tasman Goodrick finished with game-highs of 29 points and 10 rebounds, while Justin DeBuck and Ernest Shelton added 23 and 12 points, respectively for Gannon.

     The Mountain Cats and Golden Knights met in Erie on Jan. 22 and Gannon held on for a, 91-83 victory.  Forup collected game-highs of 26 points and 12 rebounds, while Cugini (15 points), Bilinsky (13 points), and Nick Watts (11 points) all scored in double figures for Pitt-Johnstown.  Shelton and Goodrick tallied 22 points apiece to pace Gannon.

     Pitt-Johnstown will wrap-up the 2024-25 regular season with a PSAC West game at Seton Hill on Wednesday, before opening the 2025 PSAC Tournament on March 3.
