Fourth-ranked Matt Sarbo's major decision at 149 lbs. began a streak that saw the No. 5/4 Pitt-Johnstown wrestlers win six of the final seven bouts to claw back from an early deficit to pin a 32-12 loss on Findlay (OH), Sunday afternoon in the Sports Center.  The Mountain Cats remained unbeaten and improved to 4-0.
 
At 125 lbs., top-ranked Trevon Gray ran out to an early 7-1 advantage and dealt No. 9/9 Billy Smith a 7-5 loss give the Mountain Cats the lead, but Findlay responded with a pair of wins to take the lead.  Nate Knowlton erased a seven-point deficit then pinned Tyson Cook at 6:36 in the 133-lb bout, and Sawyer Smith held off Connor Demcher, 6-5, at 141 lbs. to put the Roughnecks on top, 9-3.
 
However, Pitt-Johnstown won six of the final seven bouts, including five with bonus points, to pull away.
 
Sarbo got the Mountain Cats restarted with his 17-4 major win over Micah Cottrell at 149 lbs., and Cooper Warshel's 16-1 technical fall at 5:15 over AJ Parrish at 157 lbs. gave the lead back to Pitt-Johnstown at 12-9.
 
No. 19 Trent Hoover quickly pinned Scott Speakman 1:57 into the opening period at 165 lbs., and No. 12/15 Ty Morrison won a 6-1 decision at 174 lbs. that extended it to 21-9.
 
After a 9-2 win from Findlay's Chase Stein at 184 lbs. that cut it to 21-12, Pitt-Johnstown finished strong.  No. 18 Brad Morrison picked up a 15-0 technical fall at 3:20 over Ronnie Thomas at 197 lbs., before third-ranked Isaiah Vance pinned No. 10/11 at 1:35 at 285 lbs. to set the final at 32-12.
 
With the loss, the Roughnecks slipped to 2-4 on the season.
 
Pitt-Johnstown travels to the 2026 Fairmont State (WV) Duals n Sunday, before visiting Kutztown for a PSAC match on Jan. 16.
