

The Pitt-Johnstown women's wrestling team won the final five bouts to erase an early deficit and pin a 22-10 loss on Penn State Altoona in the final home match of its inaugural season, Thursday evening in the Sports Center. The Mountain Cats, who avenged a narrow loss to the Lions on Jan. 7, finished the dual meet season at 2-2.

th-ranked
Tamara Humphries received a forfeit at 117 lbs. to cut the Pitt-Johnstown deficit in half.
At 124 lbs.,
Rome Alvarez defeated Richele Reyes, 12-5, to get the Mountain Cats back to within two at 10-8.
After a pair of injury default wins from
Isabella Taranto (131 lbs.) and
Janayah Nobles (138 lbs.) put Pitt-Johnstown in front, 18-10, 20
th-ranked
Emma Hoppe moved up from 145 lbs. to 160 lbs. and dealt Aliana Romera a 10-0 technical fall loss at 1:27 to set the final at 22-10.
Neither team had wrestlers in the final two weight classes.
With the loss, Penn State Altoona slipped to 3-11.
The Mountain Cats will begin the postseason at the NCAA Regional Championships in West Liberty, W.Va. on Feb. 20-21.
