Lindsay Roessler (Chalfont, Pa.), Brittney Miller (Slippery Rock, Pa.) and Gena Pentz (Johnstown, Pa.) were all named Honorable Mention All-WVIAC Women's Soccer by the league's coaches when this year's teams were released on Wednesday. Roessler, a sophomore forward, finished 2010 with seven points on two goals and three assists, while Miller, a senior midfielder, scored two goals and collected two assists for six points. Pentz, a sophomore midfielder, played in all 16 Lady Cat matches, but didn't score.
Houston led the WVIAC with 17 goals and 35 points. She currently ranks 14th nationally in goals scored. Houston, the 2009 Daktronics Atlantic Region Player of the Year, ended her outstanding career as a Cardinal with 58 goals.
D'Angelo helped lead Charleston to a second-place WVIAC regular season finish after the Golden Eagles tied for eighth in 2009. The Lyndenhurst, NY freshman led her team with eight assists and added six goals to finish with 20 points.
Diuguid guided Charleston to an 11-6-1 record, only one year removed from a 5-13-1 finish. The Golden Eagles' second-place WVIAC regular season finish was the best in program history. The former Marshall University player directed an attack that leads the WVIAC in scoring and rates 13th in Division II at 2.78 goals per game.
