Kyle Zenchak placed third with a time of 28:04 to lead the Mountain Cat men's cross country team to a third-place finish with 68 points at Saturday's 2014 Mercyhurst University Invitational. Mercyhurst's John Harry was the individual medalist at 27:51, but Gannon University won the team title with 27 points.
Along with Zenchak,
James Horwat placed 10th (29:08), while
Michael Heck (16th, 30:06),
John Cotton (19th, 31:30), and
Collin Sherlock (20th, 31:37) rounded out the top-five Pitt-Johnstown runners.
Gannon won the team championship with 27 team points, followed by Mercyhurst (43 Points), Pitt-Johnstown (68 points), Lorain County community College (107 Points), and Pitt-Bradford (134 Points).
Pitt-Johnstown travels to the Gettysburg College Invitational on Saturday, before competing in the 2014 PSAC Championships at Mansfield University on November 8.
