The Pitt-Johnstown men's and women's basketball teams will close out the PSAC Crossover portion of their schedules when they host Millersville Wednesday evening in the Sports Center.  The Women's team will tip-off against the Wolves at 5:30 p.m. with the men's game to follow at 7:30 p.m. Both teams will then break for the holiday season.

Head Coach Mike Drahos' (6th year) Pitt-Johnstown squad, 4-5 and 1-2 in the PSAC Western Division prior to Tuesday's non-conference game against Cheyney, is coming off of a 67-49 PSAC Crossover loss to Kutztown in its home-opener on December 8.Â
Gabrielle Smith and
Alli McGrath each scored 14 points for the Mountain Cats, while
Tori Moreland scored nine points and
Maddie Shanahan pulled down a team-high eight rebounds. Pitt-Johnstown also played an exhibition game at Division I Robert Morris on Saturday and got 19 points and seven rebounds from Smith and 15 points and five rebounds from McGrath in a 73-53 loss.

Prior to Tuesday's PSAC Crossover game at Clarion, Millersville was 2-6 overall and 0-3 in the PSAC Eastern Division under 29

Lauren Lister's 24 points tied for game-high and led three Millersville players who scored in double figures, while
Kendra Bamberger pulled down a game-high 13 rebounds against the Griffins.

Pitt-Johnstown traveled to Millersville last season on December 3 and came away with a narrow 55-54 victory over the Marauders.Â
Olivia McCabe's 16 points and eight rebounds, and
Tori Moreland's 15 points led four Mountain Cats who scored in double figures.Â
Bamberger collected 16 points and six rebounds and
Alayah Hall and
Jade Farquhar had 14 apiece to pace Millersville.

After breaking for the holidays, Pitt-Johnstown hosts a PSAC doubleheader with the Mountain Cat men's team against Clarion on January 2 at 5:30 p.m., before traveling to nationally-ranked Indiana (PA) for a conference game on January 5.

Prior to Tuesday's non-conference game against Cheyney,
Head Coach Bob Rukavina's Mountain Cats had won three of their last four games and were 6-3 overall and 2-1 in the PSAC Western Division following a 109-97 PSAC Crossover victory over Kutztown on December 8 in the Sports Center.Â
Josh Wise matched his career-high with 31 points, and PSAC West Freshman of the Week
Joe Batt scored a career-high 28 points, grabbed five rebounds, and dished out six assists to lead Pitt-Johnstown. The Mountain Cats also got 23 points from
John Paul Kromka and 11 points from
Marcin Wiszomirski.

Millersville, under third-year
Head Coach Casey Stitzel, was 5-4 overall and 2-1 in the PSAC Eastern Division prior to Tuesday's conference crossover game at Clarion. The Marauders also picked-up a 90-59 PSAC Crossover victory at Seton Hill on December 8 behind a game-high 24 points from
Marcus Adkison and 21 points and 10 rebounds from
Caden Najdawi.

Pitt-Johnstown holds a 6-4 advantage a series that dates back to the 1995-96 season. The Mountain Cats have won the last three meetings, including a 76-67 victory in Millersville on December 3, 2017.Â
Isaac Vescovi had game-highs of 25 points and nine rebounds, and
Dale Clancy and
Levi Masua added 18 and 14 points, respectively for Pitt-Johnstown. The Marauders were led by
Jamal Washington's 14 points,
Marcus Adkison's 13 points and eight rebounds, and
Jordan Greene's 10 points.

The Mountain Cats will break for the holiday season before playing a scrimmage game at Saint Francis on December 29. Pitt-Johnstown will then host a PSAC doubleheader with the women's team against Clarion on January 2. The women will tip-off the doubleheader at 5:30 p.m. in the Sports Center, with the men's game to follow at 7:30 p.m.
