
The Pitt-Johnstown Mountain Cats men's basketball team defeated the California, (Pa.) Vulcans Wednesday night, 95-72, at the Pitt-Johnstown Sports Center. The Mountain Cats improved to 11-5 overall and 6-3 in the PSAC West.
The Mountain Cats opened the game on a 12-0 run and saw
Caiden Landis score eight points in a two-minute span.
Joe Batt's jumper with 10:49 remaining, gave the Mountain Cats a 23-11 lead. The Mountain Cats pushed their lead to 17-points when
Jared Jakubick's 3-pointer made it 34-17.
After a Collin MacAdams 3-pointer,
Romano Sebastiani answered with one of his own to make it 42-25 with 1:45 left in the first half.

Landis continued his hot-shooting night to begin the second half, Landis reeled off 11-straight point to give the Mountain Cats a, 54-34 lead with 15:53 left in the game.
Josh Wise gave the Mountain Cats a, 67-43 lead when he knocked down a jumper with 12:03 left. Jakubick knocked down a 3-pointer, assisted

Joe Batt to make it, 81-56, with 6:26 left. Orlando King Jr. made it 95-69 with 1:30 left.
Offensively, the Mountain Cats saw four players reach double figures and ten players score a basket. Jakubick scored a game-high and career-high 23-points followed by Landis' career-highs of 21 points and nine rebounds. Kromka recorded a double-double, scoring 12-points and 10-rebounds.
Marcin Wiszomirski added 10-points for the Mountain Cats.
The Vulcans were led by MacAdams 20-points and 17-rebounds. Brent Pegram added 16-points and Zyan Collins 14-points.
The Mountain Cats return to action Saturday when they travel to Erie, Pa. when they take on Mercyhurst University, before traveling to Slippery Rock Wednesday night.
