Abby LaDuke was named First-Team CoSIDA Women's Academic All-District II when this year's teams were released on Thursday. LaDuke is a Nursing major with a 3.94 overall GPA.
LaDuke will now be placed on the national ballot for voting to be named an Academic All-American.
LaDuke, a native of Latrobe, Pa. and graduate of Greater Latrobe High School, helped lead the Pitt-Johnstown women's soccer team to its beset season since joining the PSAC in 2013. LaDuke's team-leading 10 goals and 22 total points guided the Mountain Cats to a 7-11-0 overall record and a 6-10 mark in conference-play.
Nationally, LaDuke ranks 50th in total goals, 76th in total points (22), and 78th in goals per game (.56).
The 2019 Academic All-District® Women's Soccer Team, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CoSIDA Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
