Kara McKenzie finished first in the 60-meter hurdles, and
Lydia Robling won the 400-meter run to lead a group of Pitt-Johnstown women's indoor track and field athletes who placed at Saturday's Edinboro Al Hall Freedom Games.
McKenzie's time of 9.42 in the 60-meter hurdles was the fifth fasted time in the PSAC and qualified her for the PSAC Indoor Championships, and Robling's time of 59.34 in the 400-Meter Run also qualified her for the PSAC indoor Championships and was the seventh fastest time in the conference to date.
Mayah Charity placed seventh in the 60-meter dash (8.12) and ninth in the 200-Meter Dash (27.31), while
Paige Greathouse finished seventh in the 800-Meter Run (2:41.93) and
Jenna Smith was seventh in the 3000-Meter Run (11:58.9).
In the field events,
Brooke Leithner placed in three events, including sixth in the Long Jump (4.72 Meters), seventh in the Triple Jump (9.79 Meters), and eighth in the High Jump (1.40 Meters).
In addition,
Janiah Tutt placed third in the Long Jump (4.77 Meters), and
Kate Yahner (3.05 Meters) and
Kaela Wefers (2.75 Meters) were third and fifth, respectively in the Pole Vault.
Pitt-Johnstown travels to the Youngstown State (OH) University Invitational on Friday and to the Youngstown State Mid-Major Invitational on January 28 and 29.
