The Pitt-Johnstown Track and Field team will travel to the Mike S. Zafirovski Sports and Recreation Dome in Edinboro, PA to compete in the 2022 PSAC Indoor Track and Field Championships this Saturday and Sunday (2-26-22 & 2-27-22).
Two Mountain Cats will compete in the 60-meter dash.
Mayah Charity is slated in 11
th before the prelims with her seed time of 8.03 seconds while
Kara McKenzie is close behind her as the 14
th seed, with her seed time of 8.05 seconds.
Charity will also be competing in the 200-meter dash where her seed time of 26.44 seconds places her in 16
th place before the meet. Also running the 200-meter dash will be
Lydia Robling. Robling is seeded 8
th with her time of 25.93 seconds. Robling's 400-meter dash time of 57.15 seconds has her seeded in second place going into the meet.
In the 60-meter hurdles,
Kara McKenzie will be seeded in 8
th for the preliminary races. Her seed time is 9.42 seconds.
Pitt-Johnstown will also be competing in the 4x400 meter relay. The team has earned a 10
th place seed with a time of 4:10.37. The team is likely to consist of a combination of Charity, McKenzie, Robling,
Abbey-Gale Brooks,
Nicole Smiley, and
Brooke Leithner.
Kate Yahner will compete in pole vault where her seed mark of 3.22 meters has earned her a 13
th place seeding.
Janiah Tutt is seeded 5
th in the long jump with a seed mark of 5.36 meters.
The Pitt-Johnstown Athletics Department would like to wish the best of luck to all Pitt-Johnstown student athletes competing this weekend. The 2022 NCAA Division II National Indoor Track and Field Championships are slated for March 11th and 12th in Pittsburg, Kansas.
