In the 2022 University of Mount Union (Ohio) Jim Wuske Invitational the Pitt-Johnstown Women's Track and Field team continued their impressive form. This meet was highlighted by both
Kara McKenzie and
Julia Shima qualifying for the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) meet in the 60-meter hurdles. McKenzie's final time was 9.64 seconds which earned her 6
th place. Shima earned a 9
th place spot with her time of 10.42 seconds.
In the 200-meter dash
Mayah Charity took 4
th place with her time of 26.85 seconds.
Trista Miller's 200-meter time of 27.34 seconds earned her a 6
th place finish.
Paige Greathouse secured 4
th place in the 800-meter run with her time of 2:34.45. Greathouse also earned an impressive 8
th place finish in the 3000-meter run. Her time was 11:54.91.
Jenna Smith rounded out the top 10 in the 3000-meter run with her time of 12:06.91.
Janiah Tutt placed 2
nd in the long jump with a mark of 5.16 meters.
Brooke Leithner took home 12
th with her long jump of 4.5 meters.
The 4x400 meter relay team finished first with their time of 4:16.7. This team was comprised of
Kara McKenzie,
Mayah Charity,
Lydia Robling, and
Taylor Peck.
The Mountain Cats travel to Kent, Ohio for the Kent State University Tune-Up Meet on February 19th. This will be the last regular season meet for Pitt-Johnstown before the 2022 PSAC Indoor Track and Field Championships in Edinboro, PA.
