
The University of Pittsburgh-Johnstown Mountain Cats will compete to earn conference glory this weekend at the 2022 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Championship Meet. The meet will take place in Millersville, Pennsylvania from May 12
th to May 14
th.
Nine Pitt-Johnstown athletes have qualified across ten events.
Abbey-Gale Brooks will compete in the 200-meter dash (sixth seed – 25.63 seconds), and the 4x100-meter and 4x400-meter relays.
Mayah Charity will also be running the 200-meter dash (tied for the twelfth seed – 25.88 seconds) and both of the previously mentioned relays. Rounding out the Pitt-Johnstown 4x100-meter and 4x400-meter relay teams will be
Lydia Robling and
Kara McKenzie. The 4x100-meter relay team is seeded seventh with their time of 48.40 seconds and the 4x400-meter relay team is seeded twelfth with their time of 4:14.68.
Robling will also be running the 400-meter dash where she is the top seeded PSAC runner. Robling's top time for the season was 56.01 seconds.
Brooke Leithner will partake in the decathalon where she is ranked as the eleventh seed. Her top point mark for the year was 3,425.
Cassandra Smith will be running the 400-meter hurdles where she is the sixteenth seed (1:08.62).
Kate Yahner is tied for the seventh seed in the pole vault with her top mark of 3.40 meters.
Janiah Tutt will be competing in the high jump. Tutt's top mark on the season is 1.45 meters, this ties her for the eighteenth seed in the conference.
Paige Greathouse will be running the 3000-meter steeplechase. She is seeded thirteenth with a top time of 12.32.26.
