Fred Mulbah scoreda career-high 21 points to pace five Pitt-Johnstown double-figure scorers and help the Mountain Cats build a 27-point second half lead in a 100-88 PSAC Western Division victory over Edinboro University, Saturday afternoon in the Sports Center. Pitt-Johnstown, which shot 59% from the field, improved to 10-5 overall and 5-3 in the PSAC West.
The Mountain Cats got off to a fast start and never looked back.
Josh Wise's 3-pointer just over four minutes into the game gave Pitt-Johnstown a 15-3 lead, before a pair of
John Paul Kromka's free-throws at 10:49 increased it to 26-10.

Pitt-Johnstown extended the lead to 19 at 43-24 on a
Jared Jakubick 3-pointer at the six-minute mark, but Edinboro was able to cut it to 14 on three Jaryn Simpson free-throws three minutes later, but Mulbah followed with a 3-pointer to get it back out to 17.
The Fighting Scots were able to pull to within 13 at 54-41 at the break on Simpson's late basket.
It was all Mountain Cats to begin the second half. Pitt-Johnstown used a 24-10 run over the first six minutes to watch the lead balloon to 27. Another Mulbah 3-pointer at 17:14 got it out to 20, and Wise's lay-up at 13:43 capped the run and made it 78-51.

Edinboro tried to get back in it an narrowed its deficit to 91-83 with 3:10 to play on Simpson's 3-pointer, but two Roman Sebastiani free-throws at 1:53 pushed it back out to 11 at 1:53 and the Mountain Cats went on to the 12-point victory.
Mulbah's team-high 21 points, four rebounds and seven assists led the way for Pitt-Johnstown. Kromka had 16 points, a team-high eight rebounds, and a career-high seven blocks, while Wise had 16 points, six rebounds, and four assists, and Sebastiani chipped-in career-highs of 15 points, six rebounds, and five assists. Jakubick's's 10 rounded out the double-figures scores. The Mountain Cats also got eight points apiece from
Caiden Landis and Marcin Wisxomirski, and six points from
Joe Batt.

Pitt-Johnstown shot 58.7% (37-63) from the field, 7-13 from 3-point range, and 19-25 from the charity stripe. Edinboro was held to 37.5% (27-72) shooting for the game. The fighting Scots did hit 13-34 from behind the 3-point arc and 21-27 from the free-throw line.
Simpson's game-highs of 33-points and 11 rebounds led Edinboro. Turner Kurt (18 points), Trey Staunch (12 points), Steven Freeman (11 points), and Alex Jay (10 points) also scored in double figures for the Fighting Scots, who fell to 4-9 overall and 1-7 in the PSAC West.
The Mountain Cats will host a PSAC doubleheader in the Sports Center with the women's team against California (PA), Wednesday night, before
traveling to conference games at Mercyhurst next Saturday and Slippery Rock on January 23.
