Tyler Reinhart's Pitt-Johnstown wrestling squad got off to a great start at this weekend's 46
th Annual Midwest Classic in Indianapolis. After Saturday's first day, all 10 Mountain Cats are alive in the tournament, including four who advanced to Sunday's quarterfinals, to help Pitt-Johnstown hold the team lead by 7.5 points over second-place Wisconsin-Parkside in the grueling 48-team event.
Following the Mountain Cats and Wisconsin-Parkside, Glenville State (WV) (47.5 points), Central Oklahoma (45.5 points), and Tiffin (OH) (44.5 points) round out the top-five.
Top-seeded
Trevon Gray (125 lbs.) and
Isaiah Vance (285 lbs.), fourth-seeded
Matt Sarbo (149 lbs.), and fifth-seeded
Chad Ozias (141 lbs.) all reached Sunday's quarterfinals, while
Brady Baker (133 lbs.), No. 9
Cooper Warshel (157 lbs.), No. 10
Trent Hoover (165 lbs.),
Ty Morrison (174 lbs.),
Noah Gnibus (184 lbs.) and
Brad Morrison (197 lbs.) all suffered losses but wrestled back to compete in Sunday's quarterfinals of the consolations.

Wrestling is scheduled to continue on Sunday starting at 9:30 a.m. and concluding t=with the championship finals and place matches later in the day.
